NNSA Removes Enriched Uranium From Venezuela as Nuclear Focus Rises
The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) has completed a mission to remove 13.5 kg of enriched uranium from Venezuela's legacy RV-1 research reactor. The operation, conducted in collaboration with international partners, underscores growing global attention on nuclear energy and uranium markets.
The material, enriched above 20%, was transported via a specialized U.K. carrier and arrived in the U.S. for processing in early May. This development coincides with renewed interest in uranium as an energy source, highlighted by market movements in related assets like NANO Nuclear Energy's stock.
